Whatever common reasons I mentioned above, I am sure you would agree with them. If you want to gain some mass on your bones, you need to maintain a strict diet; and keep the harmful fat away from your system, and build up muscle mass.
However, one of the best ways is to look for some home remedies for weight gain. And, the best part is that you can indulge in most of these remedies effectively without disrupting your regular life.
Home Remedies For Weight Gain
1. Dates (Khajur) And Milk :
Dates are categorized as rich foods. Dates are packed with vitamins [ A, C, E, K, B2, B6,] niacin and thiamine, which are vital for our health and wellness. They are a good source of protein, sugar, energy and vitamins that help you gain adequate muscles without putting on much weight.
Pair them with milk to accelerate the weight gain process. Have 3-4 dates with 1 cup of milk every morning.

2. Desi Ghee :
Add Ghee to the diet to increase your weight. Ghee has the ability to increase the body tissue, the appetite, and the digestion, while at the same time it reduces Vata Dosha (mentioned in Ayurveda). So, if you want to put on healthy kg's, it is good to add one teaspoon of Ghee to your milk or tea, that you drink before going to bed.
If you prefer black coffee, you can also add 1 spoon ghee to it with virgin coconut oil & make yourself a bullet proof coffee.

3. Power Nap :
Yes, you read that right! Sleeping in afternoon for about 30 minutes to an hour relaxes your mind and muscles. This not only helps you gain weight, but also help you to have a sound sleep at night. This is one of the fastest ways to gain weight without hitting the gym.

4. Add Peanut Butter in your diet :
Peanuts are power-packed with fatty acids, proteins, minerals and vitamins. Adding a few peanuts in form of peanut butter or whole peanuts to your daily diet helps in gaining weight. Similarly, peanut butter is known to have high calories, which makes it a perfect home remedy to gain weight. Apply peanut butter on your multigrain bread & relish the delicious peanut butter sandwich.
You can even add a spoon of Nutella if you enjoy the taste.
5. Fruit shake or smoothie :
High calorie smoothies are a great way to add calories and get an extra boost of nutrition. When someone is experiencing weight loss or just needs to gain a few pounds, calories are the answer.
Sometimes it is hard to get additional calories from regular meals. Adding a high calorie smoothie is a great option to maximize intake. It can be easy to sip on a weight gain smoothie in between meals.
I am a big fan of both high calorie shakes and smoothies. High calorie smoothies are often packed with more vitamins and minerals. They key is providing a high calorie beverage that someone will actually drink. Whether it is a smoothie or a shake there are so many options.

Avoid fluids before lunch like water, tea, or coffee, as they make you feel full and reduce your appetite. Make sure you keep a gap of 30-45 minutes between your drinks and meals.
