1. The main thing to consider is to avoid the foods that are toxic to our body; such as leftovers, packaged or canned foods; chemically processed foods, packaged ready to eat & food with chemical additions or preservatives.

2. You can rather opt for simple home made foods like chapati / roti with vegetables, whole grain dals. ; fresh fruits such as apples, pears, pineapples, papaya.. to name a few.

3. Favour vegetarian diet in this phase, do not forget to skip fibrous foods like raw tomato, cucumber, cabbage & other salads.

4. Drink plenty of warm water or green tea through the day to flush out toxins.

5. Get plenty of sleep; ideally 8 hours per night.

6. Exercise daily. Exercise doesn’t mean you have to go to the gym; gentle exercises or basic yoga aasans can be done. You could even take a walk instead.

7. Do not skip meals or fast during the detoxification program.

8. Try on eating at the same times every day so your body gets into a routine.

9. Try & eat in a peaceful atmosphere; without TV or mobiles on the table.

10. Talk & have a conversation with your loved ones.

11. Eat only if you are hungry & the previous meal is digested.

12. Sit quietly 2 minutes at the table before starting the meal & also after the meal before leaving the table. This gives your digestion a start.
