5 Natural home made Detox drink recipes


Detox - a process in which our body gets cleansed internally throwing out unhealthy & toxic substances.

The word Detox is very common these days. The trend of detoxing our body is increasing in the overall fitness culture. The heavily urbanized and increasingly toxic infused world we live in is taking a toll upon our health. The human body has several natural pathways to allow detoxification through the liver, sweat, urine, and stools. But the exposure to heavy metals, preservatives and pesticides has taken the average toxic consumption by human beings to an alarming rate.


As the name itself suggests, detoxing is a process which helps the vital organs cleanse themselves. Detoxing is an ancient therapy that has been practiced in various forms for hundred years. It is believed to cleanse the digestive system and help the body eliminate waste products and various toxins absorbed from the air, soil, water and food as well as toxic substances produced by the body itself.


Detox drinks are fast gaining recognition for preventing toxic overload and major health problems. If the toxic intake is not cut, it can result in various problems like bloating, gas, headaches, constipation, headaches, skin diseases, hair fall and many other skin & hair problems. A regular intake of these simple detox drinks can increase immunity, aid weight loss, give a boost to your metabolism, and helps digestion. Detox drinks also help in improving sleep quality & healthy hair and skin.

So today I will be sharing with you some of my simple & easy detox recipes which i have been using over a year now... you should also try them on!


So lets start detoxifying :D

1. Turmeric Latte Detox or the famous ” हळदीचा दूध “

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 spoon Turmeric or Halad powder

  • 1/2 spoon Cinnamon or Dalchini powder

  • 1/2 spoon Ginger or Suntha powder

  • 1/2 spoon Honey or Sugar as per taste

  • Saffron or kesar (optional)

  • Nutmeg or jaifal powder (optional)

Boil all ingredients in a pan | Stir well | Strain it | Drink it.

*Best to be consumed at night before bed.

2. Golden Water Detox

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 spoon Turmeric or Halad powder

  • 1/2 spoon Cinnamon or Dalchini powder

  • 1 pinch of black pepper or kaali miri powder

  • 1/2 spoon honey

Boil all ingredients in a pan | Stir well | Strain it | Drink it.

*Best to be consumed as the first thing in morning.

3. Green Juice Detox

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups water

  • 1 cup Wheatgrass – you can grow fresh at home or buy powder from market

  • 1/2 cup mint leaves (optional)

  • 1/2 Lemon juice

  • 1 pinch of black pepper or kaali miri powder

  • Any salt to taste – normal salt / sendhav salt or black salt

Put all the ingredients in a grinder; spin it for 2 mins | Strain & drink.

*Best to be consumed in morning or anytime in the day.

4. LCM Detox { Lemon | Cucumber | Mint }

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups water

  • 1 Lemon juice

  • 1 Cucumber chopped

  • 1/2 cup mint leaves (optional)

  • 1 pinch of black pepper or kaali miri powder

  • Any salt & chat masala to taste

Put all the ingredients in a grinder; spin it for 2 mins | Strain & drink.

*Can be assumed at any time.

5. Ginger Lemon Honey Chai Detox

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Water

  • 1 spoon Ginger crushed

  • 1 spoon Tea powder or Green Tea

  • 1 spoon lemon juice

  • 1 spoon honey

  • Pinch turmeric or halad powder

In a vessel boil Water + Tea powder + crushed Ginger for approx 3-4 mins


Strain into your favourite cup & add lemon juice + honey + turmeric powder & enjoy.


*Can be assumed at any time.


Main Benefits -

  1. Highly effective in treating nausea and morning sickness.

  2. Natural pain reliever, specifically for exercise-induced muscle soreness and menstrual pain.
